What is the main goal for this project?

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- Conducting background research on our existing products or what our competitors are doing. We are happy to provide a walkthrough or completed research to help bring them up to speed.
- Identifying key pain points with existing products and opportunities for differentiation from the competition.
- Planning out the user flow and how the app is structured, optimizing for [enter a metric this meaningful to your business].
- Practice with various digital design tools such as Figma. We strongly recommend students use Figma as this is the industry standard.
- Creation of a screen by screen digital prototype of the newly designed [mobile app or feature].
- Conducting usability tests with current or prospective users to better understand how this [app or feature] can be improved and made more user friendly.
- Present the final design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.
Final deliverables should include:
- The final design files and a digital prototype made in Figma
- Documentation of your user research
- A 10-15 minute presentation of your design process and what you made
- A final report that hands off your work
How will you support learners in completing the project?
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Current product/market understanding
- Brand assets and guidance
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter
