Learner goals and capabilities

Students in the Electrical Foundations Course will use the diagram supplied by the customer to develop a materials list so the customer can supply the reqired materials to complete the project.

Students will then separate into two groups of six students each to meat the Covid-19 requirements and each group will show up at the project on alternate days to complete the rough wiring of the project.

This project will give the students work experience associated with wiring houses which is part of thier curriculumn.

After the wiring is complete, Technical Safety BC will inspect the site to certify the project based on the Canadian Electrical Code requirements.

Students have also used classroom time to identify and dsicuss the CEC requirements.

  • Installing and connecting non-metallic sheath cable.
  • Installation of electrical service equipment.
