business services business consulting research sales & marketing marketing strategyBring on more students from Suffolk University in the Entrepreneurship Department to be your virtual interns, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Students are required to complete 130 hours of placement between May 15th to August 15th.
Entrepreneurship students are looking for both paid and unpaid internships with a preference for paid experiences. Please indicate in your project submission which you are able to offer.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.
Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. The student should complete 130 hours with your organization between May 15th to August 15th
Project Examples
Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.
Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Opportunity assessment
- Industry and competitor research
- Interaction with clients and suppliers
- Research target market segments
- Compiling, cleaning, and processing relevant data
- Research opportunities to improve project efficiencies
- Create, improve and/or maintain social media marketing plans
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope in an appropriate fit for the internship
Provide a dedicated contact who will act as the student's primary supervisor over the duration of the virtual placement. A secondary contact should be provided as a backup. Students will interact virtually with their primary contact no less than once a week. Contacts will also provide a time sheet for students every two weeks.
