Project Examples

Requirements

Six groups of operations management students will use quantitative analysis to help solve a problem unique to your organization. A total of 30 students, devoting 30 hours each, will be focused on your area of interest.

Students will use data provided by your organization and apply operations management theory and tools to analyze the problem and recommend solutions. A final report and presentation will give you a summary of their research and provide valuable insights that you can use going forward.

Project examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating inventory management issues and optimizing inventory
  • Increasing equipment productivity
  • Assisting in ISO or similar quality system implementation
  • Addressing any quality related problems in the supply chain
  • Addressing customer management issues
