Project Examples

Starting this October, a graduate student in the Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation program will be paired with your business to work alongside your team in an immersive internship.

The students don’t need a specific project unless you have one readily available. They are looking for work experience with your team. Over the fall 2017, in preparation for joining your team, they'll conduct industry or project specific market research that includes macro- and microeconomics, competitive analysis, new start-up research, trends and future analysis, and provide you with a report on their findings and recommendations.

Between Jan and Aug 2018, the student will work as an intern for your business, conducting a minimum of 250 hours of work to assist your operations. The duration, number of hours (PT or FT) and type of relationship is all negotiable with the student. A longer internship is our preference. This can be project specific or a typical job in your organization. The students will need to complete certain experience requirements to receive academic credit.

This is an opportunity to receive unique insights from a student specialized in managing innovation and start-ups with an entrepreneurial mindset, and receive hands-on assistance in areas your business can use support.

Students come from a range of undergraduate degrees: engineering, health, business, and a wide range of arts and sciences.

Examples from previous years:

  • Innovation Hub pipeline management
  • Product Launch
  • Ideation and new opportunity exploration
  • Project management
  • Market research
  • Sales and marketing
  • Innovation consulting
  • Startup skills across all business needs
