Internship/Co-op Opportunity

Bring on one more students from the Alberta School of Business to be your virtual or in-person intern/ Co-op! Students can work on one large project, series of smaller projects, day-to-day operations, or cover your full time employment leaves/vacations.

**Students are available between January 1-April 30, 2020 and require a minimum total of 420 paid work hours. This must be a paid experience (funding opportunities are available for Canadian companies).**

As our postings are all the same (except for dates and co-op length), please only apply to the posting that suits your needs best and we can continue from there after discussing which would be the best fit for you.

Requirements

Internships/Co-op placements must:

  1. Be paid opportunities with the student working full time
  2. Each work term needs to be a minimum of 13 weeks and a minimum of 420 work hours.
    1. Typical placements are either 4 or 8 months long Starting in Jan, May, or Sept.
  3. Accommodate an on-site/virtual visit and evaluation
  4. Have job duties that are business related and professional development oriented
  5. Include a dedicated mentor for the student.
  6. Placements can take place virtually, in-person, or a mixture of the two

  • Please submit a project to this page describing your Virtual or In-Person Internship opportunity. A job description outlining the company, the role, candidate requirements, placement timing, and compensation would be ideal.
  • You can message/email James LaFleur, Employer Engagement Coordinator, (jlafleur@ualberta.ca) if you have any questions prior to applying.
  • Students will apply for Internship positions with employers whose projects are approved; students will have recently completed their second or third semesters of studies, and had extensive preparation to work an internship/co-op.
