Do you have a marketing challenge you want to tackle? In this program learners will work on managing marketing activities by exploring the process of planning and executing the concept, pricing, promotion and distribution of goods and services. Students will conduct a situation analysis, research your product/service (including potential target market, competitors, and industry considerations), formulate alternatives, and recommend strategies and implementation plans.


All students in each cohort will work on your plan and in the end, you will receive up to six Strategic Marketing Plans.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


Some final project deliverables might include: 

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
  2. A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations


Past deliverables have included:

  • Providing a complete analysis of competitors in the market
  • Completing a SWOT analysis of a business, and customer analysis
  • Creating a marketing strategy and offering proper positioning, promotion and targeting strategies
  • Developing a budgeting strategy for a proposed marketing plan

Project Examples

Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.


Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Developing a strategic marketing plan for a new or existing business, product, or service
  • Developing a new product launch plan
  • Rebranding or marketing of an existing product
  • Market research or competitive analysis
  • Expansion strategy
  • Recommending sustainable strategies related to the Marketing Mix
  • Creating a social media campaign to complement existing communications
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.

Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address learners’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.

Provide an opportunity for learners to present their work and receive feedback.

Provide relevant information and/or data as needed for the project.
