Project Examples

In 2023-24, our Student-in-Residence placements were granted to the University of Alberta's Innovation Fund. This project prided itself on having a student-led, community approach. An interdisciplinary group of multi-talented interns was brought together to lead Deal Flow Scouting, Marketing and Communications, Website Management, and internship roles that assisted in project management. These students, all affiliated with the University of Alberta, had specific skill sets and competencies to help them excel in their roles. They were hardworking, dedicated individuals.

The students worked in a collaborative environment located in the Student Innovation Centre. This setup was key to promoting a strong sense of community within the Innovation Fund while also reaching out to other members of the student body. This was an excellent opportunity for students to be exposed to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
