Project Examples

Students will use your questions and goals to guide their exploration of the data. Project objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • Visualizing the data.
  • Finding patterns and anomalies in the data.
  • Identifying groups and differences, if they exist.
  • Finding/examining relationships.
  • Making predictions.

You can provide internal data, or ask that students examine publicly available data that is relevant to your industry/customers. The only project requirement is that you have questions you want answered about the data.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Visit class at project launch for a short kick-off presentation, or prepare a short video introduction.

Visit project fair on April 1 to interact with top students about their findings, or review recorded presentations of top teams.

Provide or direct students to a data set of your choosing for analysis.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm that your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
