A final academic report detailing introduction, literature review, methodology, result and discussion. A final presentation shows clearly the problem, how the problem was solved and the clear project deliverables.

The student will attend the workplace regularly for the period of placement of 60 days (normally 12 weeks of 5 days per week, or 15 weeks of 4 days per week if studying another RMIT course that requires your attendance at RMIT).
The industry supervisor will mark the students on 10 criteria according to their performance.

A student could work individually or in teams undertaking biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, genomics, bioinformatics or related biotechnology projects. Student(s) could either assist in developing new assays or testing more samples with an existing assay.
