Our students at the University of San Francisco are looking for individual internships/practica to apply their business skills and knowledge.

The main criteria for selection is a family-owned, other small enterprise or non-profit working on the development of the business with its owners and key stakeholders. Students are expected to draft their performance metrics for the experience and the partnering company will have input in this.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Students have allocated time this semester to complete the internship/practicum with your organization and other deliverables must be agreed upon at the outset, such as a business-style report and / or an oral presentation summarizing key findings related to the duties carried out.

Requirements

Our students can join your organization and take up duties ranging from:

  • Provide business support including market research and strategy, accounting/finance support, and business analytics
  • Provide general administrative support including preparing and modifying documents including reports, drafts, memos and emails.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and record-keeping systems.
  • Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
