Working with Afrifursa on the Mapping the Canada-Africa Innovation Nexus project was an incredibly enriching experience. Tapfuma Musewe provided clear direction while allowing autonomy to explore and refine methodologies for ecosystem mapping. The project offered a unique opportunity to analyze key players in the Canada-Africa innovation space, engage with diverse stakeholders, and build a data-driven visualization using Kumu. The experience was well-structured, with timely check-ins and valuable feedback that enhanced the project’s impact. Afrifursa’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships between Canada and Africa was evident, and it was rewarding to contribute to this initiative. I highly recommend working with Tapfuma and the Afrifursa team to anyone interested in innovation, international development, and data visualization.
