They are an all virtual company, so this project involves first researching how to take a traditional in-person onboarding program and be virtual. We want to ensure that the new employees are blown away by our client's onboarding practices. We want our client's company to prepare their new employees for long-term success. MKS HR wants our client's onboarding process to integrate the new hires into our client's company culture, accelerate the learning curve, and increase retention.
Students should be prepared to:
- Research our existing onboarding practices to determine their effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Research virtual onboarding practices of competitors.
- Research what onboarding components are most impactful for new employees.
- Develop a standardized onboarding plan that achieves our client's goals.
MKS HR's founder will be the main Supervisor of the team and provide mentorship throughout the term of the project.
About the company
MKS HR was founded in 2014 with a vision of being the go-to HR consulting company for small to medium sized employers. Our founder, Sara Bibb, is a professional and certified Human Resources Professional. MKS HR takes pride in serving our clients and getting the best solution to their HR issues. Our founder completed her post-graduate program in Human Resources Management at Seneca College and obtained her Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in 2009. Sara discovered that smaller companies have the same HR & Recruitment issues as larger ones, but without the professional HR resources to handle them. What else was there to do? She started MKS HR Consulting and became the HR Department for Small Business.
