We are a technology company helping realtors find the dream homes for their clients. Our idea is to make searching for properties as customizable as possible.

Finding out about the characteristics of a home is the subject of this project. Specifically, given the address of a home we want to find the characteristics of each property based on the map data. Map data can be obtained from open maps, municipality, or google maps. Given geolocation of some properties in the map, we want to know how far a property is to a given street. Given the nature of this work, the student will learn about image processing techniques and machine learning techniques. For example, to detect a property in a map, we need to apply a classification algorithm that classifies each object to true or false. True means that the object is a property (detached or attached house) or it is not a property.

Requirements:

- familiar with data processing concepts

- familiar with classification problem solving (nice to have)

- familiar with python
