application programming interface (api) issue tracking chatbotThe goal of this project is to review the possibility of creating a chatbot for a new support/ticketing feature for BoardSpace's condo and homeowner association customers. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching existing chatbot technology and APIs.
- Propose a technical strategy for building a chatbot that would fit the needs of our support/ticket feature.
- Propose a technical strategy for Integrating the chatbot with BoardSpace's existing database via an API.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of existing chatbot technology and APIs.
- Integration of the chatbot with BoardSpace's existing database via an API.
Final deliverables should include:
- All source code.
- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project.
We will be available for video conferences at the start of the project, as needed and at the end to wrap up and hand off deliverables.
Students will be added to our Slack channel. Quick questions will be answered on the same day

About the company
BoardSpace is an online portal for the volunteer directors and administrators of condos, HOAs, non-profits and charities. BoardSpace overcomes the daunting task of looking after hundreds of documents, attending lots of meetings, preparing agendas, approving minutes and keeping on top of to-lists by providing boards with the tools to get their work done more efficiently and in less time.
Pat Crosscombe founded BoardSpace due to her experience on a condo board. BoardSpace is on a mission to organize the boards of directors of the world and was built by a team that understands the needs of condo and non-profit boards.
