planning leadership development social skills researchThe main goal for the project is to research and develop engaging and educational activities for the youth day camp, as well as plan and organize field trips that align with the mission and values of Kids On Track. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Collaborating with the Kids On Track team to understand the organization's mission and values.
- Researching and developing age-appropriate and engaging activities for the youth day camp that promote character and leadership development, social skills, and a healthy lifestyle.
- Planning and organizing field trips that provide educational and recreational experiences for the participants, considering safety and budget constraints.
By the end of the project, students should complete the following tasks:
- A comprehensive list of youth day camp activities with detailed descriptions and objectives for each activity.
- Detailed plans for at least three field trips, including destination, educational components, transportation arrangements, and safety considerations.
Final deliverables should include:
- A report outlining the research process, activity development, and field trip planning.
- Detailed activity plans and field trip itineraries.
Students in this project will be supervised directly by our program team. Kids On Track will provide the necessary technology and resources to complete this project.

Kids On Track is a community-building organization that provides hope, direction, and ongoing support for children, youth, and their parents.
Educational, social, spiritual, and recreational elements are combined to deliver well-rounded programs. We cultivate relationships, encouraging participants in faith, character and leadership development, social skills, and a healthy lifestyle. We strive to support families experiencing limited opportunities due to various socioeconomic challenges.
Since 1992, we have expanded our programs to respond to changing needs in the community and new opportunities to help at-risk kids and their families. We currently have more than 1,000 participants actively engaged in our programs. Our volunteer base has grown to a team of more than 314 volunteers who collectively contributed 4,469 service hours in our last fiscal year (Sept. 1, 2018 – Aug. 31, 2019).
