The main objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive compensation management strategy for EZO, aligning with our organizational objectives and growth plans.


Problem Description:

EZO , as an all-in-one financial app integrating payments, banking services, and investments, is rapidly expanding its operations and workforce. This growth necessitates a robust and strategically aligned compensation management system to attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance with federal and provincial compensation legislation. The current challenge lies in creating a compensation strategy that balances competitiveness in the market, internal equity, and financial sustainability.

Deliverables

Expected Outcomes: By the end of the project, learners are expected to deliver the following outcomes:

  1. Comprehensive Compensation Report: A detailed report that includes key findings from their research and analysis, highlighting strategic recommendations for EZO’s compensation management.
  2. Presentation of Project Outcomes: A presentation showcasing the project outcomes, providing a clear and concise overview of their findings, and responding to any inquiries from EZO representatives.
  3. Developing a Compensation Strategy: Formulation of a strategic compensation policy that aligns with EZO’s organizational goals, including total compensation management, and strategic policies and techniques.
  4. Analysis of Compensation Legislation: A thorough analysis of federal and provincial compensation legislation, outlining the implications for EZO’s compensation strategy and ensuring compliance.
  5. Wage Surveys and Job Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive wage surveys and job evaluations to assess external competitiveness and internal equity, providing recommendations based on market data.
  6. Review of Payroll and Salary Administration: An evaluation of EZO’s current salary administration and payroll processes, offering effective strategies for improvement to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  7. Benefits Administration Recommendations: Assessment of current benefits offerings with strategic recommendations to optimize benefits administration, focusing on cost control measures and enhancing employee satisfaction.
Mentorship
  • EZO will be available for a quick phone or virtual call with the instructor before the course launch. This will help initiate our relationship and ensure that the project scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
  • EZO will provide a dedicated contact person who will be available for weekly or bi-weekly virtual drop-ins (as agreed) to address learners’ questions. This contact will also be available for periodic messages over the duration of the project to ensure smooth communication and support.
  • EZO will provide relevant information and data as needed for the project. This includes any necessary documents, reports, and access to relevant internal systems that will help the students achieve the project goals.
  • EZO will provide timely feedback and constructive guidance to student teams throughout the project execution. We understand the importance of support and mentorship in ensuring the success of the project.
  • EZO will respond to all milestone deliverables within 72 hours of receipt with detailed feedback and/or questions. This will ensure that the project stays on track and meets its objectives in a timely manner.
