Digital Content Creation: Photographer's Blog

We are a photography studio out of NYC. The lead photographer, Ed, puts a lot of efforts into blogging about the most outstanding and creative shoots. He's been actively writing on this since 2014. There were cool photoshoots prior to 2014 which never made it to the blog. They are publicly viewable as Facebook albums with just a brief one-paragraph introduction, as opposed to a more eloquent narrative. We would like students to help us with creating content for those non-blogged visual stories, in form of 700-1,000 word stories. It is preferable if the writing style resembles that of current blogs but students' own perspective is encouraged and welcomed. We will ensure a student has a clear understanding of what the "ingredients" are. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Study the existing story blogs in the past few years. With our help, locate Facebook public photo albums that predate 2014 blogs. There are several dozens but any doable volume will be accepted. Review the visuals in each of those albums. Some albums have 30-80 photos but others may just have 1-5. Connect with Ed to jot down his personal recollections, details, and any other curious facts about a given shoot. Offer own creative description of the visuals, intertwining them with Ed's input for an organic engaging storyline. Ability to write with SEO in mind is a plus. A student or team with excellent writing skills and creative thinking in the art industry would be the ideal candidate for this project. If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Competitive Analysis: Photography Studio

We are a photography studio out of NYC and have been to business for 15 years, successfully enough. In the course of these years, our prices changed from low to high but with the photography industry democratization and easier entry points, the influx of new photographers bring the prices lower. However, not all of them are as skilled, creative, or business-oriented as we believe we are, so a pricing differentiation is natural and healthy. Yet, we are trying to see if any adjustments are needed. This project will include: An identification of our current competitors. Obtaining an intel on their presentation, communication, offers, and pricing. Creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. A summary describing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. A conclusion relating the above summary with our pricing to make it clear if our prices are aligned or would benefit from an adjustment. We will give you access to any organizational assets to support this project. We can suggest the channels with the names of competitors to research. Objective We'd like to get a better understanding of how our target audience perceives our brand and competitors. We want to develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our pricing strategy. We hope to gain an insight on how we can differentiate ourselves through our product/service pricing, and our messaging.
