Wet Tech Environmental Inc. - Target Marketing & Discovery of Market Potential

Wet Tech Environmental is a company that provides advanced treatment for wastewater treatment. We are involved in unique well proven wastewater treatment technologies that have been well proven for decades in other countries, yet new to North America.   One technology is an advanced bio-media used in wastewater treatment for the processes involving the “Moving Bed Bio-film Reactor” MBBR, and similarly in design is the “Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge” IFAS. The MBBR is a process in which media is floated freely throughout the digestor at a wastewater treatment facility. Unlike a fixed medial or no media the moving media process outperforms other biological processes, by being able to process wastewater in a smaller area and decrease the contaminate levels measured in wastewater.   The most important part of the floating media in the MBBR treatment process is the media itself. These media make up numerous types, ranging from; polyethylene (plastic balls), to ceramic media, polyurethane foam, etc. The effectiveness as measured by numerous results stem largely by the surface area of each media piece.   Levapor believes achieving the best of both models is preferential. An extremely high surface area provided by the Levapor biocarrier, > 15,000 m²/m³ , significantly higher than virtually any other biocarrier on the market. Higher surface area reduces the required water volume fill, typically a 30% to 60% requirement with most biocarriers versus only 12% to 15% fill with the Levapor biocarrier . Ample surface area on the individual biocarrier to create biological growth and ample area within the volume of water to avoid colliding with other carriers and incurring loss of attached growth. Characteristics of media play a big role in the health of microbial development and sustainability at a wastewater treatment facility.   The other wastewater treatment process in called the “Electronic Frequency Pulse” technology which uses free radicals to destroy contaminates within the wastewater. This technology is an instantaneous process that reverts the contaminates in the wastewater to H2O, CO2 gas and N2 from amino/ammonia waste. Operating efficiencies and highly concentrated wastewater capabilities enables advantageous results and new treatment opportunities. Capabilities of treating highly contaminated wastewater at a volume of 2,400 m3/day in a unit the size of 10’ x 40’. Contaminates capable of treating include;    Common Industrial Waste •       phenol •       glycol •       amines •       emulsified oily High COD Chemical Waste •       solvents i.e. methanol, IMS, chloroform, PVA •       IMS - 2-[1-(4-CHLOROBENZOYL)-5-METHOXY-2-METHYL-1H-INDOL-3-YL]-N-[(1S)-1-(HYDROXYMETHYL)PROPYL]ACETAMIDE •       strong acids & alkalis •       polymer base wastewater •       synthetic latex base wastewater •       organic acid waste •       rubbish / leachate - PFAS Organic Incinerated Waste •       polychlorobutadiene (PCB) •       wood rinse •       organic acid •       marine bunker BOD Related Waste •       food & beverage •       edible oil wastewater •       human waste   With a small footprint, high volume capacity and capabilities to treat highly concentrated contaminates the possibilities of altering the landscape of wastewater treatment is very feasible. Any type of transportation of wastewater increases the treatment cost exponentially. With nimble, yet high volume capacity the “Electronic Frequency Pulse” technology can be situated on oil sites, industrial sites, manufacturing facilities, food & beverage operations, etc.  The purpose of project is to increase awareness of the availability of the described technologies within the North American market. As well the project should gain knowledge into the volume of potential opportunities for each of the technologies. The Levapor technology has been sold throughout Europe, where it was originally developed in Germany. Sales in India, Indonesia, China, Dubai, Brazil and now North America. In place at over 150 WWTP’s and over 3,000 septic systems in the North American market does require some education however with the Levapor technology it will be further ahead with the Levapor technology. Further brochures, case studies and research material is available. In a similar fashion the “Electronic Frequency Pulse” technology has been developed for over 40 manufacturing and industrial applications throughout China, Malaysia and South Korea. With the assistance through the Eco Pathway grant, Wet Tech Environment seeks to attract a greater awareness of each of these unique wastewater treatment technologies.
