Online Training Course Design

Skillcity Institute provides essential skills training programs and workforce development services. We seek support to design a new online training course with a bold curriculum that will lead to a recognized certificate. To make training more convenient, we hope to transform our training programs into online courses. The course outline will be provided to students. We would like to work with students to determine what features, content, and materials should be included in the online training course. Based on this information, students can then recommend the platform that would be most suitable. Tasks include: Gathering relevant course design and content information from interviews / surveys with key stakeholders. Researching options for our online training platform. Assessing existing online training platforms and recommending the best platform for our course. Reviewing our existing training material and making recommendations. Assisting in designing the course and revising training material.

Hop Education Exhibition Researcher & Program Facilitator

The Hart House Hip Hop Education Exhibition Researcher & Program Facilitator will work closely with Hart House program staff to provide content research, recommendations for exhibition curation, artistic vision and ideation around complementary exhibition programming. The Exhibition Researcher will be responsible for contributing to the development and execution of a newly created Hip Hop visual art display. This exhibition will focus on the history of women in Hip Hop with a particular vision to amplify and honour Canadian women in Hip Hop behind and in front of the Hip Hop scene. The Exhibition Researcher & Program Facilitator will be mentored by staff in a supportive environment that will include, content experts and an opportunity for peer to peer learning and engagement with other work study students. The Exhibition Researcher & Program Facilitator will be guided through a process of program and exhibition design planning and execution with work focusing on 3 main areas: Generating independent research on specific content directed by staff to create a body of work that can be reviewed and presented for final presentation;  Co-facilitating additional programming through social media efforts and preparing materials for digital display and; Supporting this initiative through the sourcing or creation of graphic assets. This role may require the candidate to work both in-person and in virtual settings. Candidate must be results driven and able to work independently and productively while also taking constructive direction from staff and working well as a contributing team member with both staff and students that are connected to the project.

Student Success Online Program Design

Our organization is seeking to develop an interactive online program to help students succeed academically and professionally. We want to create a self-paced program with a number of topics ranging from resume creation to scholarship application writing. We would like to work with students to determine what features and format our target audience would find useful in an online course. Based on this information, students can then recommend what information would be most valuable. Tasks include: Gathering relevant information based on our course outline Researching additional relevant topics to be included in the course Design a user-friendly and interactive course that will be hosted on our website Design and creation of a mobile app to access program

Conference: Research & Compile Potential Partnerships

AIempower Education Conference Partnership Research The main goal of the project is to research and compile a list of potential people and organizations to partner with for our upcoming AI in higher education conference in the fall of 2024.
