The previous summer I completed a remote fellowship funded by the Government of Canada for a non profit organization in New Brunswick. My main role was to help with grant research by locating potential funding opportunities and then drafting proposals for said grants which my supervisor would review. I also complied a final document summarizing all the grants I had located during my time there, making it easier for the team to access and use the information. My final tasks was to analyze a document to find potential improvements for the organizations building which focused on areas such as accessibility and cost effective upgrades. I created a detailed report which outlined which improvements could be done in the short term and which ones would require a more long term solution.

I created a touch free air piano utilizing an Arduino Uno, an ultrasonic sensor, LEDS, and piezo buzzers. The way it works is that the ultrasonic sensor will measure how far the user's hand is placed from the device and based on this distance it lights up a LED which then plays a corresponding musical note through the buzzer. I programmed the circuit in C using the Arduino IDE. This project demonstrates my ability to combine hardware and software components together helping me learn more about electronics and problem solving.
