My name is Mike Talbot and I was selected out of hundreds of applicants by EdgeUp Calgary to take part in a training program offered through the University of Calgary to assist my career pivot from the Oil and Gas industry into an IT Project Management position within the growing tech industry.
I have 20 years of experience as a Field Service Technician in the seismic industry where I was very fortunate to be able to work and collaborate with many different people from numerous countries throughout North and South America from the southern tip of Argentina to the North Slope of Alaska and everywhere in between. I genuinely enjoyed my job and established a reputation of honesty, trustworthiness, and versatility as well as developed the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel from the field to the corporate offices. I believe these skills aided my resiliency through multiple mergers, takeovers and buyouts. - Resume
