Part 2: Computer Vision Enhancement for Data Collecting React App
The main goal for the project is to create a computer vision system which works in tandem with an existing mobile app for Insporos. The app reads company-generated QR code identifiers, then ask users a series of prompts to input basic data and photos associated with that barcode to a secure database.Β The purpose of this project is to create additional app functionality which leverages computer vision to assist human data collection efforts. The student will complete the GUI and the back-end database functionality and integrate this with the existing React app.
Agtech grant writing
The task is to take details of company projects and understand the thesis and priorities of the specific funder, focusing the writing of project goals and outcomes so that alignment with sponsor priorities is clear. Learner will gain experience in the grant writing process, researching strategic initiatives and priority areas of the granting agency. Learners will also gain knowledge in calculating GHG emissions for typical industry practice, based on existing sources. Learners will be expected to provide a draft grant application by end of project. The outcome will be a draft of a specific agtech grant Insporos is eligible for.Β
React App Enhancement for Insporos
Insporos Technologies Inc. seeks to enhance its existing mobile application by integrating a feature that reads company-generated QR code identifiers. The primary goal is to streamline data collection by prompting users to input basic information and upload photos associated with each scanned QR code. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of mobile app development, database management, and user interface design. The project involves expanding the app's functionality to ensure secure data transmission and storage in a dedicated database. By completing this project, learners will gain hands-on experience in developing a practical solution that bridges mobile technology and data management. Key tasks include: - Optimizing photo storage functionality of the existing app. - Integrating computer vision to photos uploaded via the app to assist with data collection. - Designing and adjusting user-friendly prompts for data and photo input. - Ensuring secure data transmission to a backend database. - Testing the app for usability and security compliance.
