Bring on intermediate level learners from London Metropolitan University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work individually, and dedicate up to 70 hours of placement time over the course of 3 months, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are capable of completing Project work independently, and will require direction and moderate supervision. The media work based learning module aims to prepare students for a career in the media industry. The WBL module enables students to develop employability skills and competencies, understand the nature of work, and work toward developing a portfolio of skills and competencies to facilitate the transition into graduate level employment. Students are encouraged to develop media practice in a variety of areas. They engage in media design practices, video making and production, digital photography and editing, journalistic writing, digital media design and media research among other things. Students develop practical, industry-valued skills on professional-standard equipment and expand their capacity for creativity and innovation.
