Climate solutions charity MEER: Translations of English website content and literature
Climate change is an existential threat to life on Earth. MEER (Mirrors for Earth’s Energy Rebalancing) is a scientific, humanitarian and educational 501c3 nonprofit organization based in the USA working to implement feasible solutions to global overheating. MEER researches, designs and deploys sky-facing surface sunlight reflectors to provide energy-free cooling while simultaneously offsetting the heat-trapping effects of atmospheric greenhouse gases. Currently, MEER has ultracool roof humanitarian pilot projects under way in West Africa and India which show significant passive cooling of the interiors of people’s homes in areas with dangerously high temperatures. Other applications of MEER surface sunlight reflection technologies are in agricultural settings, and in preserving freshwater in reservoirs by reducing evaporative loss. MEER seeks translators for the most relevant content of the MEER.org website, and for outreach literature. MEER aims to educate people worldwide about the scientific basis of climate change, and the adaptation and thermal mitigation benefits of MEER’s affordable and durable solar reflector technologies.
