We are passionate about helping engaged couples find what they need and helping the local businesses that provide these services succeed. We are driving a shift towards a demand-based, digital economy for wedding service businesses, helping them find new customers and manage their customers better. As a newly established Startup, it’s important for us to have a better understanding of how our target audience perceives our brand and competitors. We want to develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing strategy. Deliverables – A PowerPoint Presentation that includes: An identification of our current competitors An identification of potential future competitors (eg. a large company in a similar industry who may enter the space) The creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. A summary of one pager describing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. This could be done in the form of a SWOT analysis. Reporting to the Product Lead Weekly Check-ins We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, website analytics, sales and brand collateral, and more. We can suggest names of competitors to research.

This role will be focused on researching new prospects, identifying key contacts, and reaching out with compelling messages. We would like you to create a simple step-by-step strategy for prospecting in our target market. The project may include, but is not limited to: Identifying new potential accounts that align with our current customer base. Compiling relevant market information. Building a customizable outreach script. Creating a simple tracking framework, including metrics, for measuring outreach success. SEO and Social Media Strategy

The primary project requirements include: Keyword analysis to determine relevant search terms to our organization A strategy document to outline: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) requirements to ensure our organization appears on the first page of Google for relevant keywords Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share Content Calendar Execution: Timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site Creating engaging content for prominent media websites Working with tools and programs such as Canva, Google Drive and Klavijo We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm but also execute a strategy to achieve: A successful launch Create keywords and programming around our Brand Pillars Increase our Instagram following to 3k This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

We are looking for passionate and talented interns to help us with creating content for Instagram, that is aligned with our vision, mission, and industry. We are looking for 2 interns. Each intern will get to work on different tasks. Deliverables : Create insightful, informative and inspirational articles to share on our IG page Daily content for IG Story to increase customer engagement Interviewing couples to highlight to added value of our platform Come up with creative ideas to increase engagement Reporting to the Marketing Lead Weekly Check-ins A student with excellent writing and video skills would be the ideal candidate for this project. Antarctic Institute of Canada - Research + Writing
PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: The Antarctic Institute of Canada has trained and mentored 100s of students over the last 20 years. Most of our students choose to work with us on an ongoing basis, from their first year of undergraduate studies to Ph.D. and beyond. Your main mentors are well experienced in the difficulties of navigating education and transitions. The founder, Dr. Austin Mardon, is a Member of the Order of Canada, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, in addition to dozens of other professional and scientific organizations. Dr. Catherine Mardon is a retired attorney from the United States, a recognized social justice advocate, and a bioethics expert. Both are approachable and hands-on, and former students continue to include them in their successes well after the end of their internships. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Writer of book-length manuscripts as part of a team. Research an important/timely topic for the writing project. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:* Channel a thirst for knowledge into a project of a lifetime. Get a jump on your peers by working as part of a collaborative team to take a topic, research your aspect of the topic, and produce a book-length manuscript for publication. Learn to edit your own work and the work of other members of your team. There are also opportunities to foster leadership abilities, conflict resolution, and remote work skills. FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET: At the end of the project, you will be a published author, showing your research and writing abilities, and your ability to see a large and important project through to completion.

This project will begin in August following a kick-off meeting and orientation for all student-hires. The end-date for the project and deliverable submission deadline is sept 3rd at 11:59 PM MST. The Antarctic Institute of Canada (AIC) is a non-profit organization that conducts research activities, academic mentorship programs, and equity building through a variety of government-funded work-initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students. The AIC is seeking 76 (seventy-six) post-secondary students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program to author a variety of texts for publication. Topics and guidelines will be passed-down from the AIC chair during our kick-off meeting. Applicants must be comfortable writing according to a variety of conventions and formats and within diverse topic-areas.
