Social Media Manager & Content Creator for Digital Marketing Agency
The ultimate goal of this project is to create 4 months worth of social media content for my digital marketing agency to be posted across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Since we have 10+ clients on the go at all times, our own social media (Serenity Creative Agency) no longer becomes a priority, however, I am seeking a creative social media manager and content creator to assist with this. Throughout the duration of the project, the student(s) will be responsible for creating social media content that aligns with our brand mission, vision, and goals, while also stays relevant to the ever-changing digital space. Student(s) will complete the content with copywriting and hashtags that include relevant keywords and provoke thoughtful discussion.

LifeRaft is an educational platform that empowers individuals and communities to take action on the climate refugee crisis.
The Problem We Tackled:
It’s estimated by 2050, around 1.2 billion people will be displaced from their home countries due to climate change.* Natural disasters, rise in sea levels, and desertification has put many developing nations at risk of being inhabitable. Countries such as Bangladesh and Pakistan are already experiencing floods that have destroyed their land’s agriculture and put their people at risk of disease. This is not an issue of the far future but a current problem that needs immediate attention.
The term “climate refugees” has been unofficially used in activist communities to describe people who have lost their homes/country to climate change. This brings up the question of how will we respond to this global crisis, and how can we help these “climate refugees” properly adapt in the future.

As teens on the internet, we are well aware of the effects of social media on mental health. Social media consistently promotes triggering content, such as mental health disorders, eating disorders and serious topics like suicide, to young viewers. A report from the Center for Countering Digital Hate found that vulnerable teenagers’ accounts were sent 12 times as many self-harm videos as standard accounts (The Times, 2022).
This is what created SafeGuard.
Young viewers and minority groups who are being profited off of harmful content deserve a shield between them and the exploitative digital landscape, ensuring their online experiences are both safe and empowering.
