Product Design & Prototype
To expand our product offering with a new adapter to allow police officers to move equipment from their duty belt to the duty vest. The adapter will fit into the belt-loop of equipment cases (such handcuff cases), will mount on a belt easily, and can be released and remounted on a vest. Current products in the market do not deliver on the benefits above - they are cumbersome and slow and complex requiring disassembly of belt and other cases. We are interested in completing the market research we have started on adapter options i nthe market, and gaining insight into how to design the perfect MOLLE-Belt adapter. We would also like a prototype of a single product, with the appropriate design of the mounting mechanisms on the belt and the MOLLE vest, so we can move into production. Adapter can be made of plastic or metal. It needs to be secure on the belt and vest, and strong to withstand the tasks of a police officer and light to not burden the heavy weight they already carry.
A New Wellness Index for Police Officers
Develop an Index for Police Office Wellbeing. Majority of police officers suffer from back-pain due to the heavy weight they carry and the nature of their work in the field. Many experience insomnia and mental stress as well. Research have shown the impact of long hours, night shifts, car riding, patrol work, etc. on their body which affects their on-the-job performance and quality of life. Hero's Pride is a 40-year old company, dedicated to improve the lives of law enforcement and our vision is to be the world's most health-centric company for first responders, empowering them to achieve their potential. Such an index will be invaluable in quantifying current state and setting goals we can then influence over time. The desired deliverables are: Factors that compose the index with supporting logic and data to substantiate their selection An approach to gather the input needed - survey questions, research, other channels A methodology to calculate the index score(s) based on input gathered
Interior Design Project - Hero's Pride
We are looking for either an individual student or a small group of students to help us reimagine and redesign our office, customer visit space, and collaboration. We are a growing company in the Law Enforcement industry selling products to policemen and security guards. Our current space is old and hasn't been updated since we bought the place. We are looking for a complete refresh for the benefit of our employees, customers, and visitors. An internal survey of employees indicated a need for more light and openness, social areas, and meeting areas. The office side is next to fulfillment area but they can be kept separate for the purposes of this work. The following will be needed to complete this project: Sketches for conceptual design, mood/ inspiration board, drafting plans, renderings, budget estimates, space planning, etc.
B2B Rewards Program in Law Enforcement market
We are trying to put together a B2B rewards program with the objective to raise increase sales level, retention rate, and cross-selling. Our customers are small-big resellers with physical stores and online presence. They buy from us duty gear products for police officers and security guards. Their purchase levels and behavior vary, some buy only/mostly only one product line and not the other that we would like to see more of and that is our engine of growth. The reward program will help us create positive business impact in the short term and long benefits from stickiness i.e. better retention - at least that what we envision. We need help in designing the program, validating assumptions, understanding the best practices and specifically what our competitors are doing, etc. You will be working directly with me as the VP of Strategy and future CEO of the company and will have access to company information as much as you need. Looing forward to our work together.
