Yan was very patient with us, answered our endless questions, took time to set clear expectations, wasn't afraid to roll up her own sleeves. She was also very transparent about her intent and goals for this project.

Project feedback
I thoroughly enjoyed my participation in the last phase of the DTTPM Program, specifically the Riipen work placement. Collaborating with my team members, Amber, AJ, Abiola, and Ayat, was both enjoyable and intellectually stimulating! The exposure to a real estate software company added a practical dimension to my learning, allowing me to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. I appreciated the engaging and supportive nature of Yan, the co-founder of the company, who was always available for guidance and responded promptly to any questions. This experience has definitely significantly enhanced my understanding of the real estate technology sector and provided me with practical skills. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to applying the knowledge gained in future endeavors.

Project feedback
Working with Yan and Marc was an exceptionally positive experience. Their ability to encourage innovative thinking significantly enhanced our project's execution. However, there is one area that, if improved, could greatly benefit the program's participants, particularly due to their novice status in this field. The participants, being students who have recently acquired their skill sets, would benefit immensely from feedback that is succinct, precise, and articulate. Given their limited experience, feedback that lacks clarity can be particularly challenging to navigate. I would like to express my gratitude for the dedication and effort Yan and Marc invested in guiding my team throughout this project. Your contributions were invaluable.

Web App Design

Our company provides real estate brokerage management software to thousands of professionals online. We hope to gain a renewed understanding of the features and design that our target market would expect in our web app. We would like to collaborate with students to produce a design prototype informed by real customer input and feedback that we can bring to a developer for implementation. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting user interviews and research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features. Designing a wireframe prototype for our web app and mapping out user interactions. Documenting the design process and any additional insights that emerge. Testing the prototype with customers and surveying for feedback. Refining design ideas with input from experts and customers. Prototyping multiple versions of a design that includes the desired web app.

Competitive Analysis

Our company has been serving thousands of customers since 2020. Developing a comprehensive market research project for the real estate software industry involves understanding the competitive landscape, market trends, and the target audience. This will help us develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing strategy. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct a competitive analysis of our business. This will involve several different steps for the students, including and not exclusive to: Familiarizing themselves with our company, our industry, products, and target market. Identifying current and potential future competitors. Creating a matrix identifying features that are similar and different between companies. Summarizing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. Recommending how our company can differentiate itself through products / services and messaging.
