Managing the Global Environment (Intensive EMBA Course)

Are you exploring global markets for your organization's offerings? In this project, EMBA student-consultants will work in teams, applying their business acumen and creativity to identify and analyze appropriate internationalization strategies for your product or service. They will use knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the global business environment and the complexity of operating in an international setting obtained during this course. International target markets and an associated internationalization approach will be recommended after an analysis of the industry landscape, socioeconomic trends, cultural, regulatory, and financial analysis. This course is an intensive two-week offering with two all-day classroom sessions and interim time devoted to self-directed small-group work on the client project. Project introductions are tentatively scheduled for Saturday December 3rd and final recommendations will be presented to the client on Saturday December 10th.
Packaging Design

Packaging Design In this course, students will study the evolution and history of packaging design, discuss philosophies, learn industry terminology and examine contemporary designs. Using case studies, students will analyze the package design process from concept to production and over the course of the semester, develop a line of packaging and supporting marketing materials for one brand. Guest lectures and field trips will supplement readings and in-class discussions, which will address brand extension and consistency, packaging templates, professional procedures, product photography and printing.

Student teams will develop an effective change management strategy for your organization. Student teams work with organizations that are embarking on a major change effort in response to a strategic change or environmental disruption. Teams apply design thinking and various change tools to conduct an analysis of the situation, the opportunities and the risks, and key stakeholder groups, to develop innovative solutions that address stakeholder concerns. The majority of the students are working and have expertise in a variety of business and not-for-profit disciplines and industries. The client will join the class (either in person or virtually) three times in the semester. Note: This is not a marketing project.

Virtual Internship Opportunity in Graphic Design: Bring on one or more students from Suffolk University in the Graphic Design program to be your virtual interns, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more marketing projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Working directly (100% remotely, due to Cover 19) with Creative/Communications Director, student interns will provide design assistance/services for your organization during the spring 2021 semester, starting on or before Jan. 16 thru April 23, 2021 for up to 135 hours.

Experiential Workplace Learning - Interior Design Internship

Do you have an interior design project you want to tackle? Bring on one or more students from the Interior Design program at Suffolk Univesity to be your interns. BFA and MAIA students will be exploring methods of workplace learning as an alternative to the traditional 'internship' model. This would involve identifying, and participating in, activities that would expose them to the many career pathways for Interior Design graduates.
